Getting there

This 12" x 36" mixed media woodblock print was inspired by the wild quail that march and forage and march some more together in the valley around my home. I drew the image on a piece of pine board and then proceeded to carve the image from the wood. After carving, I printed the image by hand from the carving and mounted it onto a panel support. I then painted and continued printing into the image - finishing it with metallic leaf embellishment and a hand-rubbed wax top-coat. This one of a kind image is ready to hang!
