Cloud Lake watercolor

What made me stop to take the reference photo I used, was the reflection of the clouds in the water. Starting out, painters often struggle with water. How do you describe a transpartent liquid!?! In this case, it is the reflection of the sky and clouds that gave it a voice. They also say calm waters and tranquility which is what I felt being there.

Painting is installed in archival white double mats into a 16" x 20" frame, dark brown wood frame..
