Original watercolor depicting the pioneer apple trees still standing in the valley.
Once a thriving agricultural keystone in the upper Methow Valley economy, it suffered almost total wipeout during the winter of 1969. That winter temperatures dipped below -50 degrees Fahrenheit. Trees were heard cracking and splitting in the record cold spell.
Painting is installed in classic light walnut colored frame. Image measures 7" x 11" with outside frame dimensions 14" x 18".
