Thanks to the density of locust, one of our hardest native trees, this bowl has a noticeable presence in the hand. Turned from a crotch section of a honey locust from Winthrop, some feather grain is visible, along with a lovely interplay of light sapwood and darker heartwood. Small voids in the wood have been filled with copper, adding a delightful surprise for those who carefully inspect the surface.

Suitable for food service at the table or displaying treasures on the coffee table.
