Homestead Poppies

Big, bright and bold, poppies pretty much shout at you "Look at me, look at me!". In the warm days of spring, they rise, crimson flags announcing the long awaited stretches of sunshine. Sometimes when you are out on a barely there road, off to one corner will be a bunch; signs of life long ago. If you take the time to kick around the area, likely it was a homestead site. Years ago it was abandoned for the easier life in a nearby town. Poppies are tough. They remain.

Homestead Poppies 10" x 20" is finished with protective varnish and coats of hand rubbed wax. It does not need mats or glass with the frame. It is framed in a 12" x 22" wood frame with soft pewter color.
