For those classic "Bug" collectors, to the best of my research, it is a 1967 VW bus, which would have been right in line with the great San Francisco migration to join the hippies. It looked romantic and magical; like being a gypsy but I wouldn't know...too young.  Spent my unromantic, ordinary summer thinning apples.
